June, 2012 - Register Reading Issues After ADT Installs

  • Y-Connector Necessary to Restore Register Readings

The ADT system being installed in your 7-11 store is connected to each of your registers, collecting the transaction records. In order to do this, your existing equipment is often being disconnected from your registers by ADT. When this occurs at your store, there is a very low cost solution; what is needed is an easily installed DB 9 Y cable which will supply the signal to both systems. If you are a rental customer or subsciber of our services, this solution will be provided to you at no cost. When this occurs, please contact us as soon as possible so we can restore the integrity of your system. For all other 7-11 owners, you may contact us to get this solution at a nomimal cost.

January, 2011 - Netpromax Domain Servers Down

  • Netpromax servers for Domain Name access to the store remotely are currently down.

Customers experiencing this issue may hang on "Resolving Domain Name..." followed by "Unable to access Domain Server". Please contact our office at (714) 964-7697 so we can assist in the installation of a work-around for this particular issue.

August, 2010 - Netpromax Domain Servers Moved

  • Editor's Note: This information is no longer applicable; see January news post for more details.
Netpromax has moved it's domain server. Follow the steps below to fix your connection.

    Server (Store) Side
The registration server's IP address needs to be changed inside the FX-316 settings. You will need to call our main office for further instructions as to how to do this.

    Client (Remote) Side
FX-Client saves the information we need to change inside the Windows Registry. We'll need to uninstall the older version, apply a registry fix, and install the newest version of FX-Client. Follow the steps below to do so.
First, to uninstall FX-Client, follow the steps below:
    Windows 2000/XP Windows Vista/7
    • Go to the Control Panel via Start->Settings->Control Panel
    • Click on Add/Remove Programs
    • Highlight FX Client and click Remove
    • Click Yes to remove the program
    • Go to the Control Panel via Start->Settings->Control Panel
    • Click on Programs and Features
    • Highlight FX Client and click Remove
    • Click Yes to remove the program

Now we need to apply the Registry fix. Click the link below to download this file, and save it. You'll need to unzip the file with a program, such as WinZip, WinRar, or the built in version for Windows Vista/7. Run the file inside the zip archive. You should be prompted to allow the changes to the registry; please be sure to allow the change.
    Registry Fix

Now we need to install the newest version of FX Client. It can be downloaded from the link below.
    FX-Client
That's it! You should be able to access any of your sites that have had the fix applied at the store. Please feel free to give us a call if you have trouble during any portion of this fix.
